Thanksgiving 2011

Here's a wish for a Happy Thanksgiving from CJ and Dirty Debbie.

Even though CJ and I are both out of work we still know there's a lot to be thankful for, including each other.  I hope all my readers find plenty of the little things to be thankful for.

Shall I do another retrospect this year?
The one that brought us into the new year of 2008 is here.

I started this blog in July of 2005.
This year probably had the most pauses, stumbles and sputters, but again in the new year things will be renewed, isn't that the promise of this time of year?
I too will be renewed and I believe CJ will to.

As in past years there is at least a short list of bloggers that I will continue to miss into the new year:

But this year also included me be invited to be a Fellatrix at The Fellatrices
We moved from CJ Fridays to CJ having his own site as Dirty Debbie's CJ
And the thing I'm most proud of was both CJ and I were put in the top 100 sex blogs at numbers 63 and 64

As most of you don't know, when I'm not Dirty Debbie on the internet I am known as Plum Blossom. Plum Blosson has been online for 13 years now. I couldn't resist using this picture to show me during the holidays.

Another report is that I will return to my blog after the first week of the new year (CJ's birthday is right after New Year's)

Intimacy

My Valentine's Day commentary.

This year's Valentine's day for me was intimate, but not in the ways I normally write about. CJ and I didn't go out for a romantic dinner. We didn't have an extended love-making session. In fact, we didn't even kiss.
CJ is sick as a dog with now has been diagnosed as severe bronchitis or pneumonia (he still needs a chest x-ray).
He actually thought he could go to work on Valentine's Day. So I woke up to a box of chocolates (yes that's them pictured above) and a card that sang 'Ain't No Woman Like The One I Got'. When I got home that evening he was worse, wrapped in the robe I gave him for Christmas a couple of years ago, and lying on the couch. He opened the card I card him, but I didn't dare kiss him.

My intimacy toward my lover this Valentine's Day consisted of back rubs, pouring glasses of V-8 and orange juice, taking his temperature, and insisting he go to the doctor (which he did today). Yes, the intimacy even consisted of sleeping in the same bed with the stuffed up, hacking, in pain man I love.
No doubt that within a few more days the intimacy will include me being sick. I already feel that tingle in the back of my throat and that itch in my nose. I don't mind, it can't be helped.
So remember that being together and being intimate can mean very different things for a couple depending on the situations that life brings us.
I enjoy being able to show my love either way, by having CJ slowly enter me and the height he can take me to by making love to me, or by covering him with blankets and patting him just to let him know I'm there.

Retrospective 2007

Although none of us can see what the New Year will be bringing us, I send off good and heartfelt wishes for all the best in 2008.

A few things cross my mind for this New Years entry.

1. I don’t make resolutions anymore. I stopped those years ago. Anything I want to do or change about my life or myself I do as the days go by, I don’t wait until December 31st. My blog is different though. I will make some resolutions about story series that I started this year, that will be continued throughout the upcoming year:

2. I am saddened lately by the good bloggers that seem to be moving away from the wonderful world of sex blogging.
I think they all had a fine creativity that I would keep on enjoying.
Am I to become a dinosaur? I’m going into my third year doing this. Does this happen constantly? Is there some kind of regular turn off?
Some because of being found out, others feel that their blog "has run its course"
Just name a few of the peers/colleagues I miss:

And that’s a very short list.
As part of this, I will be cleaning up my blogroll and even though some of the bloggers have left their sites up, I am removing any site that hasn’t been updated in the last 90 days.
Who knows what this New Year will bring and what new blogs I’ll discover.

3. Finally,
The world continues, as it always does, this week.
Some folks fuck and some don't, and some think it's making love and
others know it's not.
And others don't think it matters one way or the other, as long as you connect to that which is divine in each other.

The Light Returns

Although I will be celebrating a fairly traditional Christmas with my family, my holiday is really today-the Winter Solstice or Yule. Yule celebrates the return of the sun. After the solstice the days start getting longer. Yule traditions include decorating a pine tree, burning a Yule log, the hanging of mistletoe and holly, giving gifts, and general celebration and merriment. Whatever you call your Winter holiday I wish for you hope and promise that a new and longer day will bring you.

Turkey Hash

So real life has interrupted my blog life once again.
The holidays have begun and I have had family to take care of. I hope that everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and realized all the things that there are to be thankful for.
Our family is small, but we enjoy each other. Everyone came to our place for the long holiday weekend. CJ makes the best mashed potatoes and roasted turkey I have ever eaten. I made all the other fixings. Like all the good things we do, it was a true joint effort. I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for a second journey with CJ. I am thankful for my home that I can make welcoming to all visitors.
I hope that everybody enjoys the season and each other. Let's all try to remember the force of love and respect on the world around us.
